ASSIGNMENT NO 03.
1.      Explain half wave rectifier and give the average value for output waveform

2.      Explain following full wave rectifier
a)      Bridge rectifier
b)      Centre tapped transformer

3.      A) For the Zener diode n/w as shown in figure. Determine VL, VR, Iz , Pz

                       

B) Repeat part (A) with RL=3KΩ

4.      Explain series and parallel clippers

5.      Write a short note on clampers.


6.      Explain following types of voltage multiplier circuit.
a)      Half wave voltage doubler
b)      Full wave voltage doubler

7.      Explain operation of transistor.

8.      Explain common base configuration and draw input and output characteristics.

9.      Explain amplifying action of transistor.

10.  Describe common emitter configuration

11.  Explain fixed bias configuration

12.  Explain emitter bias configuration

13.  Explain voltage divider bias configuration

14.  Explain transistor as a switch

15.  Explain following types of Bias compensation
a)      Diode compensation for variations in VBE 
b)      Thermistor compensation
c)      Sensistor compensation
